rationale
I chose this artifact to demonstrate that one of the motivational theories I use to obtain optimal student learning. In my classroom, I strive to connect real world situations to what the students are learning. various instructional techniques are used for my classes, as not all students learn alike. Cooperative learning is one of the powerful tools I use, with students acting as peer teachers along with group collaboration.
reflection
The artifact chosen promotes health and fitness as well as implementing the social cognitive theory. Social Cognitive Theory allows the students to observe others being successful with the specific lesson. Therefore, students who are struggling with the lesson, can model the desired behavior, in order to develop a self-efficiency toward the specific lesson. Students are able to use peer teachers to become successful, as well as to understand specific concepts discussed in class.
